authentic · Anonymous record of the trial of Phileas, bishop of Thmuis, and the soldier Philoromus before the prefect Culcianus at Alexandria (martyred 4 February 306 or 307). The Greek original is lost; the Latin version printed here is the one Ruinart edited and Knopf reprinted. A Greek papyrus fragment (Bodmer XX) and a letter of Phileas to the Thmuites, quoted in Eusebius, Church History 8.10, are separate texts.
