Gregory of Nyssa

Γρηγόριος Νύσσης · Gregorius Nyssenus

Gregory was educated in Cappadocia and became bishop of Nyssa, where he was exiled for a time under the emperor Valens. After Basil's death he became a leading defender of the Nicene faith and wrote against Eunomius, on the Trinity, on the creation of man, on the soul, and on the ascetic life.
