Orosius
Paulus Orosius
Orosius was a Spanish priest who came to Augustine at Hippo in 414 with questions about Priscillianists and Origenists, went on to Palestine, and spoke against Pelagius at Jerusalem in 415. At Augustine's request he wrote his History against the Pagans, a survey of world history down to 417 meant to show that Rome's misfortunes were no worse under Christianity than before.
