Phoebadius of Agen

Phoebadius Aginnensis

Phoebadius was bishop of Agen in Aquitania and one of the first Latin writers against the Arians, replying to the Second Creed of Sirmium (357). His book Against the Arians survives; a second tract on the faith once printed under his name is now generally assigned to Gregory of Elvira.
