Θησαυροὺς δέ γε ὁ κύριος οἶδε διττούς, τὸν μὲν ἀγαθόν, »ὁ« γὰρ »ἀγαθὸς ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ θησαυροῦ τῆς καρδίας προφέρει τὸ ἀγαθόν«, τὸν δὲ πονηρόν. »ὁ« γὰρ »κακὸς ἐκ τοῦ κακοῦ θησαυροῦ προφέρει τὸ κακόν, ὅτι ἐκ περισσεύματος τῆς καρδίας τὸ στόμα λαλεῖ.«

English · Claude translation

The Lord knows two kinds of treasure: the good, for “the good man brings out good from the good treasure of his heart”; and the evil, for “the evil man brings out evil from the evil treasure, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
