Μετὰ δὲ τὰ Ἑλληνικὰ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν κατὰ τοὺς βαρβάρους χρόνων ἀποδοτέον κατὰ τὰ μέγιστα διαστήματα. ἀπὸ μὲν Ἀδὰμ ἕως τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ συνάγεται ἔτη δισχίλια ἑκατὸν τεσσαράκοντα ὀκτὼ ἡμέραι τέσσαρες, ἀπὸ δὲ Σὴμ ἕως Ἀβραὰμ ἔτη χίλια διακόσια ν΄, ἀπὸ δὲ Ἰσαὰκ ἕως τῆς κληροδοσίας ἔτη ἑξακόσια δέκα ἕξ. ἔπειτα ἀπὸ κριτῶν ἕως Σαμουὴλ ἔτη τετρακόσια ἑξήκοντα τρία μῆνες ἑπτά. καὶ μετὰ τοὺς κριτὰς βασιλειῶν ἔτη πεντακόσια ἑβδομήκοντα δύο μῆνες ἕξ ἡμέραι δέκα. μεθʼ οὓς χρόνους Περσικῆς βασιλείας ἔτη διακόσια τριάκοντα πέντε, ἔπειτα τῆς Μακεδονικῆς ἕως Ἀντωνίου ἀναιρέσεως ἔτη τριακόσια δώδεκα ἡμέραι δεκαοκτώ. μεθʼ ὃν χρόνον ἡ Ῥωμαίων βασιλεία ἕως τῆς Κομόδου τελευτῆς ἔτη διακόσια εἴκοσι δύο. πάλιν τε αὖ ἀπὸ τῆς ἑβδομηκονταετοῦς αἰχμαλωσίας καὶ τῆς τοῦ λαοῦ εἰς πατρῴαν γῆν ἀποκαταστάσεως εἰς τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν τὴν ἐπὶ Οὐεσπεσιανοῦ ἔτη συνάγεται τετρακόσια δέκα, τελευταῖα δὲ ἀπὸ Οὐεσπεσιανοῦ ἕως τῆς Κομόδου τελευτῆς εὑρίσκεται ἔτη ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ἕν μῆνες ἕξ ἡμέραι εἴκοσι τέσσαρες.

After the Greek dates, those of the barbarians must also be given, by the largest intervals. From Adam to the flood are reckoned two thousand one hundred and forty-eight years and four days; from Shem to Abraham, one thousand two hundred and fifty years; from Isaac to the division of the inheritance, six hundred and sixteen years. Then from the judges to Samuel, four hundred and sixty-three years and seven months; and after the judges, of the kingdoms, five hundred and seventy-two years, six months, and ten days. After these times, of the Persian kingdom, two hundred and thirty-five years; then of the Macedonian, to the death of Antony, three hundred and twelve years and eighteen days. After this time the Roman empire to the death of Commodus, two hundred and twenty-two years. Again, from the seventy years' captivity and the people's restoration to their ancestral land to the captivity under Vespasian are reckoned four hundred and ten years; and lastly, from Vespasian to the death of Commodus are found a hundred and twenty-one years, six months, and twenty-four days.
