Church History 1.4.1
Summary: Having shown Christ is not new, Eusebius will now show that Christian teaching is not new either.
English · Claude translation
These things, then, had necessarily to be set down here before the history, so that no one might think our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ recent because of the times of his life in the flesh. And so that no one may suppose that his teaching is new and foreign, as if composed by a new man no different from other men, come, let us treat this too briefly.
