εἰ δὲ δὴ μακρῷ ποθʼ ὕστερον χρόνῳ περιτομῆς φασι τὸν Ἀβραὰμ ἐντολὴν εἰληφέναι, ἀλλά γε πρὸ ταύτης δικαιοσύνην διὰ πίστεως μαρτυρηθεὶς ἀνείρηται, ὧδέ πως φάσκοντος τοῦ θείου λόγου “ ἐπίστευσε δὲ Ἀβραὰμ τῷ θεῷ, καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην. ”

And if they say that Abraham received the command of circumcision a long time afterwards, yet before this he is said to have been witnessed to as righteous through faith, as the divine word says: “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.”
