ὥστε ἤδη, ὃ μηδὲ ἄλλοτέ πω, τοὺς πάντων ἀνωτάτω βασιλέας, ἧς λελόγχασι παρʼ αὐτοῦ τιμῆς συνῃσθημένους, νεκρῶν μὲν εἰδώλων καταπτύειν προσώποις, πατεῖν δʼ ἄθεσμα δαιμόνων θέσμια, καὶ παλαιᾶς ἀπάτης πατροπαραδότου κατεγγελᾶν, ἕνα δὲ αὐτὸν μόνον θεὸν τὸν κοινὸν ἀπάντων καὶ ἑαυτῶν εὐεργέτην γνωρίζειν, Χριστόν τε τοῦ θεοῦ παῖδα παμβασιλέα τῶν ὅλων ὁμολογεῖν, σωτῆρά τε αὐτὸν ἐν στήλαις ἀναγορεύειν, ἀνεξαλείπτῳ μνήμῃ τὰ κατορθώματα καὶ τὰς κατὰ τῶν ἀσεβῶν αὐτοῦ νίκας μέση τῇ βασιλευούσῃ τῶν ἐπὶ γῆς πόλει βασιλικοῖς χαρακτῆρσι προσεγγράφοντας, ὥστε μόνον τῶν ἐξ αἰῶνος Ἰησοῦν Χριστὸν τὸν ἡμῶν σωτῆρα καὶ πρὸς αὐτῶν τῶν ἐπὶ γῆς ἀνωτάτω οὐχ οἶα κοινὸν ἐξ ἀνθρώπων βασιλέα γενόμενον ὁμολογεῖσθαι, ἀλλʼ οἷα τοῦ καθόλου θεοῦ παῖδα γνήσιον καὶ αὐτόθεον προσκυνεῖσθαι, καὶ εἰκότως.

so that now, as never before, the supreme emperors of all, conscious of the honor they have received from him, spit on the faces of dead idols, trample on the unholy rites of demons, laugh at the old deceit handed down from their fathers, and acknowledge him alone as the one God, the common benefactor of all and of themselves. They confess Christ, the Son of God, as King of all, and proclaim him Savior on monuments, engraving in imperial letters, in indelible memory, his achievements and his victories over the ungodly in the midst of the city that rules over the earth; so that Jesus Christ our Savior alone of all from eternity is confessed even by the highest on earth, not as an ordinary king born among men, but is worshiped as the true Son of the God of the universe and as God himself, and rightly so.
