προπύλῳ μὲν ἐνὶ μεγίστῳ τῆς τοῦ παμβασιλέως ἑνὸς καὶ μόνου θεοῦ δοξολογίας τὸν πάντα νεὼν κατακοσμῶν, Χριστοῦ δὲ καὶ τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος παρʼ ἑκάτερα τῆς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐθεντίας τὰς δευτέρας αὐγὰς τοῦ φωτὸς παρασχόμενος, τῶν τε λοιπῶν διὰ τοῦ παντὸς οἴκου ἄφθονον καὶ πολὺ διάφορον τῆς καθʼ ἕκαστον ἀληθείας τὸ σαφὲς καὶ φωτεινὸν ἐνδεικνύμενος, πάντη δὲ καὶ πανταχόθεν τοὺς ζῶντας καὶ βεβηκότας καὶ εὐπαγεῖς τῶν ψυχῶν λίθους ἐγκρίνας, τὸν μέγαν καὶ βασιλικὸν ἐξ ἁπάντων οἶκον ἐπισκευάζεται, λαμπρὸν καὶ φωτὸς ἔμπλεω τά τε ἔνδοθεν καὶ τὰ ἐκτὸς, ὅτι μὴ ψυχὴ μόνον καὶ διάνοια, καὶ τὸ σῶμα δὲ αὐτοῖς ἁγνείας καὶ σωφροσύνης πολυανθεῖ κόσμῳ κατηγλάϊστο.

English · Claude translation

He adorns the whole temple with one very great gateway, the glorification of the one and only God, the King of all, and on either side of the Father's supreme authority provides the second rays of light, of Christ and of the Holy Spirit; and throughout the whole house he shows abundantly and in great variety the clearness and brightness of the truth in each of the rest. Everywhere and on every side he selects the living and firm and well-fitted stones of souls, and so builds up out of all the great and royal house, bright and full of light both within and without, since not only their soul and mind but also their body has been made glorious with the many-flowered adornment of purity and self-control.
