ἀλλὰ καὶ Φίλιππος, εἷς τῶν ἅμα Στεφάωῳ προχειρισθέν- των εἰς τὴν διακονίαν, ἐν τοῖς διασπαρεῖσι γενόμε- νος, κάτεισιν εἰς τὴν Σαμάρειαν, θείας τε ἔμπλεως ὢν δυνάμεως κηρύττει πρῶτος τοῖς αὐτόθι τὸν λόγον. τοσαύτη δʼ αὐτῷ θεία συνήργει χάρις ὡς καὶ Σίμωνα τὸν μάγον μετὰ πλείστων ὅσων τοῖς αὐτοῦ λόγοις ἑγχθῆναι

But Philip, too, one of those appointed with Stephen to the diaconate, being among the scattered, went down to Samaria, and, being filled with divine power, was the first to preach the word to those there. So great was the divine grace working with him that even Simon the magician, with very many others, was drawn by his words.
