οὐ μὴν εἴασεν αὐτοὺς τῆς ἀφροσύνης ὄνα- ‘σθαι Φάδος, ἀλλʼ ἐξέπεμψεν ἴλην ἱππέων ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς, ‘ἥτις ἀπροσδόκητος ἐπιπεσοῦσα πολλοὺς μὲν ἀνεῖλε, “πολλοὺς δὲ ζῶντας ἔλαβεν· αὐτόν τε τὸν Θευδᾶν ζωγρήσαντες ἀποτέμνουσι τὴν κεφαλὴν καὶ κομίζου- “ σιν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα.’’ τούτοις ἑξῇ καὶ τοῦ κατὰ Κλαύδιον λιμοῦ γενομένου μνημονεύει ὧδέ πως·
