διὸ δὴ οὔτε Σίμωνος ὁ ἄλλου του τῶν τότε φυέντων συγκρότημά τι κατʼ αὐτοὺς ἐκείνους τοὺς ἀποστολικοὺς ὑπέστη χρόνους. ὑπερενίκα γάρ τοι καὶ ὑπερίσχυεν ἅπαντα τὸ τῆς ἀληθείας φέγγος, ὅ τε λόγος αὐτὸς ὁ θεῖος ἄρτι θεόθεν ἀνθρώποις ἐπιλάμψας, αὐτός τε ἐπὶ γῆς ἀκμάζω καὶ τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀποστόλοις ἐμπολιτευόμενος.

English · Claude translation

Therefore neither Simon's nor anyone else's gathering of those who arose at that time survived in those very apostolic times. For the light of the truth overcame and prevailed over all things, and the divine Word himself, who had just shone on men from God, flourishing on earth and dwelling among his own apostles.
