ἐνέδει δὲ ἄρα τοῖς πᾶσι καὶ τοῦτʼ ἐπιγραφῆναι αὐτῷ, ὡς ἂν πρῶτος αὐτοκρατόρων τῆς εἰς τὸ θεῖον εὐσεβείας πολέμιος ἀναδειχθείη.

To all these crimes this too had to be added to his record, that he was the first of the emperors to be shown an enemy of piety toward God.
