“ Κατ΄ ἐκεῖνον δὲ τὸν καιρὸν, δῆλον ὅτι ἐπὶ Κλαυδίου, ἐπέβαλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ἡρώδης τὰς χεῖρας, κακῶσαί τινας τῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ἐκκλησίας, ἀνεῖλέ τε Ἰάκωβον τὸν ἀδελφὸν Ἰωάννου μαχαίρᾳ.”
