ταῦτα μὲν ὁ Ἡγήσιππος. οὐ μὴν ἀλλὰ καὶ ὁ Τερτυλλιανὸς τοῦ Δομετιανοῦ τοιαύτην πεποίηται μνήμην· “πεπειράκει ποτὲ καὶ Δομετιανὸς ταὐτὸ ‘ποιεῖν ἐκείνῳ, μέρος ὢν τῆς Νέρωνος ὠμότητος. ἀλλʼ οἶμαι ἅτε ἔχων τι συνέσεως τάχιστα ἐπαύσατο, ‘ἀνακαλεσάμενος καὶ οὓς ἐξεληλάκει.”

So much Hegesippus. Tertullian too makes mention of Domitian as follows: “Domitian also once tried to do the same as he, being a portion of Nero's cruelty. But, I think, since he had some sense, he very soon stopped, and even recalled those whom he had banished.”
