Τῷ δὲ ἀνέσεως πρὸ ὥρας λαβο– “μένῳ προσφθείρονταί τινες ἥλικες ἀργοὶ καὶ ἀπερ– ”ρωγότες, ἐθάδες κακῶν. Καὶ πρῶτον μὲν διʼ ἑστιά– “σεων πολυτελῶν αὐτὸν ἐπάγονται, εἶτά που καὶ νύ– “κτωρ ἐπὶ λωποδυσίαν ἐξιόντες συνεπάγονται, εἶτά “τι καὶ μεῖζον συμπράττειν ἠξίουν.

But some young men of his age, idle and dissolute, accustomed to evil, corrupted him, having obtained freedom too early. First they led him on by costly entertainments, then took him along when they went out by night to rob, then thought him fit to join in something greater.
