τὰς ἐπιστολὰς Ἰγνατίου “τὰς πεμφθείσας ἡμῖν ὑπʼ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἄλλας ὅσας εἴ“χομεν παρʼ ἡμῖν ἐπέμψαμεν ὑμῖν καθὼς ἐνετεί- “λασθε, αἵτινες ὑποτεταγμέναι εἰσὶ τῇ ἐπιστολῇ “ταύτῃ, ἐξ ὧν μεγάλα ὠφεληθῆναι δυνήσεσθε. πε- “ ριέχουσι γὰρ πίστιν καὶ ὑπομονὴν καὶ πᾶσαν οἰκο- “ δομὴν τὴν εἰς τὸν κύριον ἡμῶν ἀνήκουσασν.” καὶ τὰ μὲν περὶ τὸν Ἰγνάτιον τοιαῦτα. διαδέχεται δὲ μετʼ αὐτὸν τὴν Ἀντιοχείας ἐπισκοπὴν Ἥρως.

English · Claude translation

The letters of Ignatius sent to us by him, and others that we had with us, we have sent to you, as you instructed; they are appended to this letter, and from them you will be able to benefit greatly. For they contain faith and endurance and all edification that pertains to our Lord.” Such is what concerns Ignatius. After him Heros succeeded to the episcopate of Antioch.
