ἐδήλου δὲ τοῦτον ὁ τῆς προειρημένης γραφῆς λόγος προπετέστερον, ἀλλʼ οὐ κατʼ εὐλάβειαν ἐπιπηδῆσαι τῷ δικαστηρίῳ σὺν ἑτέροις, ἁλόντα δʼ οὖν ὅμως καταφανὲς ὑπόδειγμα τοῖς πᾶσι παρασχεῖν, ὅτι μὴ δέοι τοῖς τοιούτοις ῥιψοκινδύνως καὶ ἀνευλαβῶς ἐπιτολμᾶν. ἀλλὰ ταύτῃ μὲν εἶχε πέρας τὰ κατὰ τούτους.

English · Claude translation

The words of the writing mentioned showed that he had rashly, and not with reverence, rushed to the tribunal with others; yet when he was caught he gave a clear example to all that one ought not to venture on such things recklessly and without reverence. So ended the affairs of these men.
