καταλέλοιπε δὲ οὗτος πολύ τι πλῆθος συγγραμμάτων, ὧν μάλιστα παρὰ πολλοῖς μνημονεύεται διαβόητος αὐτοῦ λόγος ὁ πρὸς Ἕλληνας, ἐν ᾧ τῶν ἀνέκαθεν χρόνων μνημονεύσας τῶν παρʼ Ἕλλησιν εὐδοκίμων ἁπάντων προγενέστερον Μωυσέα τε καὶ τοὺς Ἑβραίων προφήτας ἀπέφηνεν, ὃς δὴ καὶ δοκεῖ τῶν συγγραμμάτων ἁπάντων αὐτοῦ κάλλιστός τε καὶ ὠφελιμώτατος ὑπάρχειν. καὶ τὰ μὲν κατὰ τούσδε τοιαῦτα ἦν.

He left a great multitude of writings, of which the one most remembered by many is his famous discourse Against the Greeks, in which, recalling the ancient times, he showed that Moses and the prophets of the Hebrews were earlier than all who were renowned among the Greeks; it seems indeed to be the finest and most useful of all his writings. Such were the affairs of these men.
