“Μινουκίῳ Φουνδανῷ. “ἐπιστολὴν ἐδεξάμην γραφεῖσάν μοι ἀπὸ Σερεννίου “Γρανιανοῦ, λαμπροτάτου ἀνδρὸς, ὅντινα σὺ διεδέξω. “οὐ δοκεῖ μοι οὖν τὸ πρᾶγμα ἀζήτητον καταλιπεῖν, “ἵνα μήτε οἱ ἄνθρωποι ταράττωνται καὶ τοῖς συκο- “φάνταις χορηγία κακουργίας παρασχεθῇ.

“To Minucius Fundanus. I have received a letter written to me by Serennius Granianus, a most distinguished man, whom you succeeded. It does not seem right to me, then, to leave the matter uninvestigated, so that men may not be troubled and informers may not be given means for their malice.
