Κατὰ τοῦτον ταῖς θείαις γραφαῖς συνασκούμενος ἐπʼ Ἀλεξανδρείας ἐγνωρίζετο Κλήμης, ὁμώνυμος τῷ πάλαι τῆς ῾Ρωμαίων ἐκκλησίας ἡγησαμένῳ φοιτητῇ τῶν ἀποστόλων.
