ὑποκαταβὰς δὲ ἐν αὐτῷ τοὺς κατὰ τὴν καινὴν διαθήκην προπεφητευκότας καταλέγει, ἐν οἷς καταριθμεῖ Ἀμμίαν τινὰ καὶ Κοδρᾶτον, λέγων οὕτως “ἀλλʼ ὅ γε ψευδοπροφήτης ἐν παρεκστάσει, ᾧ ἕπεται “ἄδεια καὶ ἀφοβία, ἀρχόμενος μὲν ἐξ ἑκουσίου ἀμα- “θίας, καταστρέφων δὲ εἰς ἀκούσιον μανίαν ψυχῆς, “ὡς προείρηται.

Further on in it he lists those who prophesied under the new covenant, among whom he counts a certain Ammia and Quadratus, saying thus: “But the false prophet speaks in ecstasy, which is accompanied by licence and fearlessness; beginning with voluntary ignorance, it ends, as has been said, in involuntary madness of soul.
