ἐπὶ τούτοις ὁ μὲν τῆς ῾Ρωμαίων προεστὼς Βίκτωρ ἀθρόως τῆς Ἀσίας πάσης ἅμα ταῖς ὁμόροις ἐκκλησίαις τὰς παροικίας ἀποτέμνειν, ὡσὰν ἑτεροδοξούσας, τῆς κοινῆς ἑνώσεως πειρᾶται, καὶ στηλιτεύει γε διὰ γραμμάτων, ἀκοινωνήτους πάντας ἄρδην τοὺς ἐκεῖσε ἀνακηρύττων ἀδελφούς.

Thereupon Victor, who presided over the Romans, tried to cut off at a stroke from the common unity the communities of all Asia, together with the neighbouring churches, as heterodox; and he denounced them by letters, proclaiming all the brothers there wholly excommunicate.
