Ἀλλὰ γὰρ Ἀντωνῖνον ἔτη βασιλεύσαντα ἑπτὰ καὶ μήνας ἓξ Μακρῖνος διαδέχεται. τούτου δʼ ἐπʼ ἐνιαυτὸν διαγενομένου αὖθις ἕτερος Ἀντωνῖνος τὴν Ῥωμαίων ἡγεμονίαν παραλαμβάνει, οὗ κατὰ τὸ πρῶτον ἔτος ὁ Ῥωμαίων ἐπίσκοπος Ζεφυρῖνος μεταλλάττει τὸν βίον, ὅλοις ὀκτωκαίδεκα διακατασχὼν ἔτεσι τὴν λειτουργίαν.

Antoninus, having reigned seven years and six months, was succeeded by Macrinus. When he had lasted one year, another Antoninus received the government of the Romans. In his first year Zephyrinus, bishop of the Romans, departed this life, having held the ministry for eighteen full years.
