μετὰ δὲ Πλούταρχον δεύτερος τῶν Ὠριγένους φοιτητῶν μάρτυς ἀναδείκνυται Σερῆνος, διὰ πυρὸς τὴν δοκιμὴν ἧς παρειλήφει πίστεως παρεσχημένος.

After Plutarch, the second of Origen's pupils shown to be a martyr was Serenus, who gave through fire the proof of the faith he had received.
