Αἰμι- “λιανὸς διέπων τὴν ἡγεμονίαν αὐτοῖς εἶπε· τίς γὰρ “ὑμᾶς κωλύει καὶ τοῦτον, εἴπερ ἐστὶ θεὸς, μετὰ “τῶν κατὰ φύσιν θεῶν προσκυνεῖν; θεοὺς γὰρ “σέβειν ἐκελεύσθητε, καὶ θεοὺς οὓς πάντες ἴσασι. “Διονύσιος ἀπεκρίνατο ῾ἡμεῖς οὐδένα ἕτερον προσ- ‟κυνοῦμεν.

English · Claude translation

Aemilianus, acting prefect, said to them: ‘Who prevents you from worshipping this one too, if he is a god, together with the natural gods? For you were ordered to worship gods, and gods whom all know.’ Dionysius answered: ‘We worship no other.’
