Only the comment on Malachi 2:13–16 is published.
- 2.13Jerome explains Mal 2:13–16 of Israelite husbands who forsook their wives for foreign women: God refuses their sacrifices, the words “When you hate her, put her away” are the husbands' appeal to the law of Moses, answered by Christ's teaching that this was allowed for hardness of heart and that putting away a wife except for sexual immorality is iniquity; he also reports a figurative reading.
