οἶ δʼ οὐδʼ οὕτως ἔληγον, ἀλλʼ ἔτι καὶ μᾶλλον “ ἐξεμαίνοντο, βουλόμενοι νικῆσαι τὴν ἐκείνων ὑπο- “μονήν. καὶ οὐδʼ ὣς παρὰ Σάγκτου ἕτερόν τι ἤκου- “σαν παρʼ ἣν ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς εἴθιστο λέγειντῆς “φωνήν.

Even so the crowd did not stop, but raged still more, wishing to conquer their endurance. Yet even so they heard nothing else from Sanctus except the confession he had been accustomed to say from the beginning.
