χαιρέτωσαν “πὸν ἅπαντες διὰ τῆς ἡμετέρας εὐσεβείας, “γίας τε καὶ τιμῆς τῆς τοῦ δυνατωτάτου καὶ “τατοῦ Ἄρεως δυνάμεως ἐξευμενισθείσης, καὶ διὰ “τοῦτο τῆς εὐδιεινοτάτης εἰρήνης βεβαίως μεθʼ ‘χίας ἀπολαύοντες ἡδυνέσθωσαν· καὶ ὅσοι τῆς τυφλῆς ἐκείνης πλάνης καὶ περιόδου παντάπασιν ἀποστάντες εἰς ὀρθὴν καὶ καλλίστην διάνοιαν ἐπα- “νῆλθον, μειζόνως μὲν οὖν χαιρέτωσαν, ὡσὰν “χειμῶνος ἀπροσδοκήτου ἢ νόσου βαρείας σθέντες, καὶ ἡδεῖαν εἰς τοὐπιὸν ζωῆς ἀπόλαυσιν “καρπωσάμενοι.

English · Claude translation

Let all rejoice henceforth that through our piety, sacrifices, and veneration the power of most mighty and most steadfast Ares has been propitiated, and therefore let them enjoy with gladness the most serene peace firmly and in quiet. And let those who have wholly abandoned that blind error and wandering and have returned to a right and most excellent mind rejoice all the more, as men rescued from an unexpected storm or a grievous sickness, who will reap sweet enjoyment of life for the future.
