Ἐμοῦ δὲ χάριν, ἔφην, εἰ ἐπέμενον, καθʼ ἡμέραν ἐβουλόμην ταὐτὸ γίνεσθαι· ἀναχθήσεσθαι δὲ ἤδη προσδοκῶν, ἐπιτρέποντος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ συνεργοῦντος, ὑμᾶς προτρέπομαι, ἐνστησαμένους ὑπὲρ τῆς ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίας μέγιστον τοῦτον ἀγῶνα, τῶν διδασκάλων ὑμῶν σπουδάσαι προτιμῆσαι μᾶλλον τὸν τοῦ παντοκράτορος θεοῦ Χριστόν.

English · Claude translation

“For my part,” I said, “if I were staying, I would wish the same to take place every day; but since I expect to set sail now, God permitting and helping, I urge you, entering on this greatest contest for your own salvation, to be eager to prefer the Christ of God Almighty to your teachers.”
