Ἐπίστρεψον διὰ τοὺς δούλους σου, διὰ τὰς φυλὰς τῆς κληρονομίας σου, ἵνα μικρὸν κληρονομήσωμεν τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ ἁγίου σου. Ἐγενόμεθα ὡς τὸ ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς, ὅτε οὐκ ἦρξας ἡμῶν, οὐδὲ ἐπεκλήθη τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς. Ἐὰν ἀνοίξῃς τὸν οὐρανόν, τρόμος λήψεται ἀπὸ σοῦ ὄρη, καὶ τακήσονται ὡς ἀπὸ πυρὸς κηρὸς τήκεται· καὶ κατακαύσει πῦρ τοὺς ὑπεναντίους, καὶ φανερὸν ἔσται τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐν τοῖς ὑπεναντίοις, ἀπὸ προσώπου σου ἔθνη ταραχθήσονται.

“‘Return for the sake of your servants, for the sake of the tribes of your inheritance, that we may inherit a little of your holy mountain. We have become as at the beginning, when you did not rule over us, nor was your name called upon us. If you open the heaven, trembling from you will seize the mountains, and they will melt as wax melts before fire; and fire will burn up your adversaries, and your name will be manifest among your adversaries; the nations will be troubled at your presence.
