οὐχ ὁμοίων δʼ οὖν οἶς προειρήκαμεν τυχὼν, πάντων ἐκείνων καὶ Χριστὸς μᾶλλον ἀνηγόρευται. καὶ ὡσὰν μόνος καὶ ἀληθὴς αὐτὸς ὢν ὁ Χριστὸς τοῦ θεοῦ Χριστιανῶν τὸν πάντα κόσμον τῆς ὄντως σεμνῆς καὶ ἱερὰς αὐτοῦ προσηγορίας κατέπλησεν, οὐκέτι τύπους οὐδὲ εἰκόνας, ἀλλʼ αὐτὰς γυμνὰς ἀρετὰς καὶ βίον οὐράνιον αὐτοῖς ἀληθείας δόγμασι τοῖς θιασώταις παραδοίς.

English · Claude translation

Though he did not obtain the same honours as those we have mentioned, he has been called Christ more than all of them. And as being himself the only and true Christ of God, he has filled the whole world with Christians, his truly august and holy name, handing down to his followers no longer types or images, but the naked virtues themselves and a heavenly life in the very doctrines of truth.
