ἐπὶ δὲ τούτοις ὁ αὐτὸς ἱστορεῖ συγγραφεὺς ἕτερον αὐτοῦ γνήσιον παῖδα πρὸ τῆς ἐσχάτης τοῦ βίου τελευτῆς, τρίτον ἐπὶ δυσὶν ἤδη προανῃρημένοις, διʼ ἐπιτάξεως ἀνελόντα παραχρῆμα τὴν ζωὴν οὐ μετὰ σμικρῶν ἀλγηδόνων ἀπορρῆξαι.

In addition to this, the same writer relates that before the very end of his life he had another of his legitimate sons, a third besides the two already put to death, killed by his command, and that he at once breathed out his life with no small pains.
