Κἀγώ· Συγχώρει, ὦ Τρύφων, πρότερον, εἶπον, καὶ ἄλλας τινὰς ἀποδείξεις τῷ κεφαλαίῳ τούτῳ συναγαγεῖν διὰ πολλῶν, ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς πεπεισμένοι καὶ περὶ τούτου ἦτε, καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ὃν ἀπαιτεῖς λόγον ἀποδώσω. Κἀκεῖνος· Ὡς σοὶ δοκεῖ, ἔφη, πρᾶττε· καὶ ἐμοὶ γὰρ πάνυ ποθητὸν πρᾶγμα πράξεις.

And I said, “Allow me first, Trypho, to gather some other proofs on this main point from many passages, so that you too may be persuaded about it; and after that I will give the account you ask for.” And he said, “Do as you think best; for you will be doing something I very much desire.”
